Project Abstract
In this class, you have a semester project. The sooner you start, the 
better your project will be. With this in mind, submit a project abstract.
This is simply a few pieces of information:
  - Your name, and name(s) of your partner(s) 
 
  - Your project's title
 
  - A few sentences describing what your project will do.
 
Use the provided web-form to submit this information.
If a web-form is not provided, then turn in a hard-copy.
In that case, a single page is fine, with 
the due date, the class name and number.
You can include a figure, drawing, or picture, if you want. Be sure
to cite the source, if you do.
Remember, do not turn in a hard-copy unless the web-form is not provided.
If you are unsure, ask in class.
This will count toward a small part of your project grade.
Grades on this assignment will likely be check, check-minus, X, or zero.
If you are not sure how this will be graded, ask in class.
Here are answers to common questions.
  - 
  What if I change my mind, and want to work on something else?
  That's OK. The project grades are meant to be modular, yet build on each
  other. So if you do a great job on the early project deliverables,
  you will have an easy time later. 
  If you change your topic, you may have to do extra work 
  than if you stay with the same thing all semester.  
  
 
  - 
   What if I change partners?
   That's OK.
  
 
  - 
   What if my partner drops the class?
   You can find a new partner, join another group, or continue the project
   by yourself.
  
 
  - 
   How many partners can I have?
   You can have as many partners as you want. 
   As long as you are up-front about it, you can even include someone outside
   our class. 
   You should compensate people who help you, of course, if they are not
   receiving credit from the class.
   For example, if your project includes music, and you know a
   student in the music department who is willing to attend your meetings
   in exchange for you helping him/her move, 
   you could include him/her as a partner. 
  
 
  - 
   The web form only allows for X partners, and I have more partners than
     that. What do we do?
   You could fill out the web-form a second time, paste the title from the
   first time, and write something like "we are also working on this project"
   in the abstract area.
  
 
  - 
    I have a partner who is not part of the class. How do I convey this?
    You can put their name(s) in the abstract, with something like 
    "Thanks to John Doe for agreeing to help with our
    project." Make sure to thank and recognize anyone who helps you 
    in the credits of your video (or in your report if there is no video).

   Do I need to work with a partner?
   Yes, you should. There may be exceptions, though.
  
 
  - 
   What if another group plans to do the same thing?
   That's OK. You may be able to combine your groups. Otherwise, talk with
   the other group periodically, in case you can help them overcome a
  shared problem (or they can help you).
  
 
  - 
   What if one of my partners already submitted this information?
   Your group should only submit one copy. It is your responsibility to make
   sure that your name is attached to a project.
