Milestone Checklist
For the project update video, your group should have identified milestones. For the final project files, your group should submit documentation detailing "what came from where?" and "who did what?".
This assignment is to update the progress, and document what you have accomplished since the project update video. You can (and should) include the accomplishments from before the project update video, along with the remainder of the planned accomplishments for your project.
It will count as a checked assignment, toward the project grade. If your group has been doing a good job of communication and documentation so far, this will be an easy assignment.
Here is what to include:
- Milestones/Tasks Include specific things to accomplish. These are unique to your project, and are not likely to be things that other projects do. For example, "identify and review additional research papers" might be appropriate for the timeline, but this is not specific to your project, and is not a milestone. "Make a sprite sheet" is not very helpful: how many rows should there be, and how many frames? What character is the sprite sheet for? "Complete the 32x32 sprite sheet of the common enemy character facing left, right, attacking, and being hit, with at least 6 frames per row" is specific to a project and is detailed enough to be a task.
- Due Date. For each task, determine when you plan to have it completed (or when it was completed). Keep in mind the semester schedule. You can include both a planned date and an actual completion date.
- Person. Who is assigned to complete this tasks?
- Completed? Was it done? (If so, when it was completed would be nice to include.)
Turn in one copy per group, but make sure that it shows that you are an active participant. If your group indicates that you are not doing anything, your score will reflect this.
Format: Plain text is fine (.txt). A spreadsheet is fine (use .csv or .ods format). If you want to mix images and text, you can submit a .pdf file. Just make sure to use a non-proprietary format.
